Also known as the “vampire facial,” PRP has received so much attention that it may seem as if we’ve finally found the fountain of youth. The procedure works on the basis that the body’s own natural products can promote local tissue growth and repair damaged tissue process. It can slow down or delay the ageing of the skin.

Benefits of PRP included improvements in the volume with sagging skin, improve texture, complexion, tone of the epidermis, acne scars, and decreased appearance of wrinkles. Results can be seen within four to six weeks, to give patients more immediate results, dermal fillers can be used with PRP treatments. We recommend 3 treatments 6 weeks apart.

PRP Therapy For Dark Circles Under Eyes

The most common reasons for consultation for PRP treatments around the eye area at our location are:

  • Under-Eye Pigmentation or dark circles
  • Under-eye hollows with or without dark pigmentation
  • Under-eye fine lines, wrinkles and poor texture
  • Under-eye wrinkles, loss of elasticity and firmness
  • Under-eye bags

Dark circles are the result of light reflecting off the blood vessels that sit just below the surface of the skin. As we age, the skin becomes thinner and the dark circles become more prominent. PRP injected in the skin under the area will effectively eliminate the dark circles and saggy skin. It promotes skin tissue regeneration and increases collagen production.
